Iruka tells Kakashi that nine-tails that killed his parents, is inside Naruto, and even though Naruto isn't to blame, it's hard to separate the two. Kakashi reflects on how during their first mission together, Iruka's eyes were full of life, and now they're very dead inside. Iruka tells him that he's just become Naruto's homeroom teacher, and he doesn't know how to handle him. He sits beside Iruka, waiting for him to talk. He starts to walk away but instead turns and asks Iruka what's wrong. He apologizes for bothering him, but Kakashi jumps down and tells him he was about to leave anyway. A voice calls to him and he looks up to see Kakashi reading in the tree. Yugito, alongside the other jinchūriki and tailed beasts, encounters Naruto.Iruka sits at a bench, exasperated over what to do about Naruto. With this, the opposing beasts regrouped and prepared a collaborative Tailed Beast Ball, and launched it towards their opponents only to have it diverted by an opposing one. In the resulting chaos, Yugito attempted to strike the Nine-Tails from behind, but found herself sent reeling after a collision with the Six-Tails. Unleashing a Tailed Beast Ballalongside the others, the jinchūriki instead resorted to a direct assault when these attacks are deflected by Naruto, only to be repelled as the latter adopted his Tailed Beast Mode. After Son Gokū was resealed into the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Yugito was forced to transform fully into the Two-Tails as Tobi prepared to go all-out.
Rallying once again, she along with the other jinchūriki prepared to confront the two Konohagakure jōnin, after Han's previous attack was thwarted by Kakashi. Regrouping with the other reincarnated jinchūriki, after Kakashi Hatakeand Might Guy's intervention, Yugito charged past the pair towards Naruto.
